Good morning! It's time to take a sighting for our next holiday! Are you on course? Do you have your Thanksgiving menu planned? There are lots of ideas in our recipe section if you need some inspiration. No matter where you'll be observing the holiday, you can stay on-plan.
This will be a three-day work week for me, which is really something to be thankful for! First of all, I have a job. Not necessarily a given in this economy.
Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be a casserole I made last night. Dinner will require a trip to the market. I could get some pork out of the freezer in a pinch.
Have a great day!
I'm not sure I want to answer your questions Carol...too depressing.
BUT, today is another day.
I started my day with yoga. I have planned my meals. I have another busy day.
8am 2hb eggs, brat wrap
11:30 lc lasagna, celery, 1carrot
3pm 2 turkey stix, peanuts or iced coffee
6pm burger with cheese/mustard/mayo and asparagus

Good Morning Carey and Ammy.
I'm totally on board for the holidays. Doy and I are preparing all low carb dishes. We're going to our daughters. There will be regular food but I'll only eat of the low carb dishes. If I have a single serving of each LC dish I'll have about 16 carbs slightly higher than I'd normally have. But I'm compensating with a zero carb breakfast. Supper of course will be leftovers but even at that total carbs for the day should be about 32.
I had a good weekend. A friend of mine, I hadn't seen in a while, stopped in for a visit. The first words out of his mouth "hey claus you're losing weight."
I got in a good workout before breakfast. I'm actually starting to look forward to my workouts.
Breakfast- 2 whole eggs, 4 whites, 3 Esskay turkey bacon, 70gms blackberries, 2c green tea
43gms protein, 11gms carbs.
Lunch- 5oz grilled burger, 1oz cheddar cheese, freezer slaw, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 6gms carbs.
Supper- 6oz Cajun spiced orange-roughy fillet; tomato basil salad (1 med(5.2oz) tomato, 1/8c chopped onion, 4 thinly sliced basil leaves) dressed w/evoo & taragon vinegar; 1/2 med grilled peach, 2c green tea
40gms protein, 8gms carbs.

Morning all..
On course? Um no, seems I do okay for breakfast and lunch then it all falls about about 5:00 :( Am determined to get back on track.
Thanksgiving is actually planned more or less. Shake for breakfast, dinner @ the in-laws where I will have mostly turkey and green beans, taste of SF pumpkin custard (no crust so not pie) that my MIL makes in addition to the pies for 3 of us either avoiding sugar or gluten. I might allow myself 1 roll, not sure. But then shakes the rest of the day. I should be ok.
It's the rest of the week that's iffy ;) Especially since I'm hoping to get some extra hours in at work Wed and Fri since there's no school and 3 shakes 1 meal doesn't fit that schedule, need 3 meals 2 snacks when I start the day that early. Will give it some thought.
Didn't do my measuring yesterday since Friday dinner and most of Sat weren't so great in the food dept, would've had water gains.
Today's plan: Shake, tuna and baby carrots, shake and shake

Our Thanksgiving was last month so this will be a regular week for me and on track.
Breakfast is LC cereal and Whey Protein. I'm not sure about lunch but dinner will be ham and broccoli.
I have a Dodgeball game tonight to round it out.
Thanksgiving will not be too much of a problem- just a little over on carbs due to the oyster stuffing-yum. I never eat anything with sugar in it and very little potato (I know, I know- so how did I get this belly?? which is finally shrinking btw. Beats me) This probably explains why it is taking a lot longer to lose weight than in the past.
B- shake and 2 eggs
L- ham rollups and spinach salad
D- chicken breast, broccoli salad and Tomato
A low carb day- maybe 20 protein in the 110-120 range
Carol, how do I move my ticker?

I'm not sure I want to answer your questions Carol...too depressing. Then I've succeeded in making you think about it, which is my goal today, Amy.
BUT, today is another day.
I started my day with yoga. I have planned my meals. I have another busy day.
That's the attitude! :)

On course? Um no, seems I do okay for breakfast and lunch then it all falls about about 5:00 :( Am determined to get back on track.I have faith in you, Becca. Have you been having enough fat and protein in your morning shake?

Great plan (except the roll would be a red flag for me). Nice that MIL takes extra steps for you special eaters.

Okay, but make it a PP-friendly plan!
Our Thanksgiving was last month so this will be a regular week for me and on track.Right, Randy! You'll have no distractions this week. How nice! :)

Carol, how do I move my ticker? Not a clue, Monte! Max has a writeup on the front page. Maybe one of our current ticker-users can chime in here?

Like Randy, I'm a Canuck, so no Thanksgiving to worry about. I do have to get back on track from last weekend though....:o Today will be the usual eggs and smokie breakfast and lftvr meat and veg for lunch. Carol your mentioning of a cauli, sausage, cheese casserole the other day sounded great, I think something like that will be dinner.
Carol, how do I move my ticker?
Monty move your cursor on top of your ticker and double click, that will take you to the ticker factory. From there you will need to remember your password so you can edit your ticker.

Carol your mentioning of a cauli, sausage, cheese casserole the other day sounded great, I think something like that will be dinner.I think it's because it's getting colder outside, Jilly. :) It's a kind of comfort food for me now.
Thanks Jilly-
I tried all my usual passwords but none worked so I decided to go the lo tech way.

After last week I would not have thought it was possible, but I think its raining even harder here today. Still makes you want warm comforty food.
I jammed on work today. I woke up sore (sleeping in someone elses bed for the weekend does not help my back any :() and tired and could not face another day of working in the pouring rain. I called work and they did not really need me anyway so I booked off. With how much work will be slowing down soon I probably should get all the hours I can, but sometimes you just have to give yourself a break. :o
Since I am home I will be cooking up some extra stuff to have around for the week.

We are going over to a grandsons for Thanksgiving and everyone will carry dishes in. Of course mine will all be low carb. I am taking a baked ham, broccoil salad, deviled eggs and a pumpkin pie made with a combo of splenda, erthyinitol, and davinci syrups.
I am thinking about making some low carb bread on Wednesday as that is always my downfall--hot home made rolls dripping in butter. If I do my own and take them they won't be as good but they will suffice. (And save me from going over board.)

It will do you a world of good, Jilly. Enjoy!
