Good morning! This time it's almost redundant to say plan ahead, since so many people are preparing for a holiday meal (or two) and are making great choices. Don't forget to plan for the weekend, too! Leftovers can be hard to resist, once the initial meal is over.
Breakfast will be a raspberry shake with chocolate almond milk. Never tried that, so I'll see if I like it. Lunch will be roast beef. Dinner will probably be beef, as well, unless I stop for a restaurant salad.
Clear and dry again today, so I'll be grateful for it on my drive to work. It's all going to end with rain tomorrow and then the snow. Brrr! :p

Good morning!!!!! I flopped a bit yesterday but will get it 100% today. We will be having T day at home.We already celebrated with dh's family on Sun. My crew at home doesn't like sweet potato, pumpkin pie and stuffing. All the things that tempt me. So I'm not making them!
Fri my sil and niece will be flying in and we will be going out to dinner. That will be ok but we are all heading back to moms for dessert. I need to bring something for myself that is legal along with gingerbread cookies for everyone else. Mom is baking my favorite cookies so I need to prepare.
Carol I have not seen the choc almond milk that wasn't sweetned. What brand is it? I love the unsweetened vanilla. Sounds like you have a great plan for meals.
My breakfast was 2 fried eggs and 3/4 cup of squash with butter. Delicious! Lunch depends on whether my buddy and I can get our schedules to match today to go out.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Carol and Mikki. Hope you're having a pleasant morning.
Carol I hope you don't mind me throwing an answer out to Mikki. Almond Breeze makes a unsweetened chocolate. Most health foods stores have it. If they don't I'm sure they can get it for you.

That's the one, Bill. I found it at the supermarket in the baking aisle with the vanilla. Actually, the flavor is so mild that it was almost a non-event. I do love the vanilla, and I can always add some cocoa powder if I want a chocolate or mocha.

Thanks to both of you Carol and Bill!
HI all,
I found one in the supermkt called WALDEN FARMS choc syrup- has zero everything but surprising isn't bad tasting. It does have sucralose which I try to avoid, but don't use that much that often-that's my story anyway.
Yesterday was as planned with 125 prot and 17 carbs.
Today
B- 2 eggs and 2 bacon, and 1/2 a full size shake (for the protein)
L- DW will drag me to Panera bread where I will long for a piece warm french baguette slathered with gobs of butter BUT, I'll settle for chicken salad over lettuce -no bread- and ice tea. Why bother??
D- 5 oz burger, green beans, tomato (local farmers are still bringing in green tomatoes that ripen up in a few days-might be the last week).
Since I have come to love the B shake, I'll visit the local health food store to see what they may have to pick them up a bit.

 I SO agree, Monty! The first thing I tired of was chicken caesar salads--to the point where I will choose almost any alternative. It's no treat for me. It's vittles, as my FIL would say. :p

I haven't tired of chicken caesar salad yet.....fortunately, its a quick easy thing to throw together. I use chicken thighs now instead of the old CW idea of skinless, boneless chicken breast (ugh) so its much tastier and juicier. :)
I like to make "hot chocolate" with the unsweetened choc. almond breeze by adding Da Vinci SF chocolate syrup. I was amazed at how much it tastes like the real thing (minus the marshmallows that I never liked anyway). Very little of the syrup is required. Its been a nice treat on the nasty rainy days we have been having.
Today is planned, usual breaky and lunch, dinner will be chicken and roasted acorn squash.
I seem to hab come down wid a cold, my node is all stubbed ub. :(

Our fridge died last night, so we bought our "Christmas present" at Sears. We're going to share it. With the medical expenses we've had this year, we are looking forward to putting 2009 behind us! I may have eaten too many strawberries last night (I freeze them, but some turned to mush as they thawed).
Had my eggs and bacon this morning ... how long can eggs stay unrefrigerated? I kept a couple out for tomorrow morning too (the rest of the food we could save is in the neighbor's fridge). The new one comes tomorrow.

Sorry about your "stubby dose", Jilly! ;)
FL here we comeJust as long as you keep posting, Monty.
(the rest of the food we could save is in the neighbor's fridge). Wow! You've got accommodating neighbors!
Lunch ended up being more of the casserole I made Monday. Dinner was thin-sliced roast beef and cheddar in a wrap.

Quick passing through as I'm heading to work early since my girls don't have school
Monday was good, didn't stick to my 3/1 plan but had a Hardee's LC Thickburger for dinner instead (and it was soooo good)
Tuesday was ok, let myself get too hungry by the end of the day so we ended up eating out. My choice wasn't "low carb" but way lower than my usual choices where we ended up. All in all I'm happy with the day.
I can tell my middle is shrinking.
