Morning, everyone.
Hope all in the US had pleasant holidays.
Now it's Friday - hopefully a day off for some, and always a day back on plan.

Did you have a Protein-Powered Thanksgiving, or did you eat a bit more than you'd planned?
Either way, Thanksgiving is done, and except for leftovers, today is a new day. So if you feel off the wagon (intentionally or not), get back into healthier eating today, and course correct.

I've had a protein shake, and I'm taking a slow day today.
How are you starting your weekend?

Thought I was late in posting- I see I'm early
TG was as ok as it gets for me- as best I can figure it 65 to 85 ecc (fitday says 64) - protein = 148 most of the ecc came from various kinds of stuffing which I'm not going to pass up and wine which I love. All in all not too bad. All my kids-3- and all 6 grandkids and families were gathered as well as DW son's family with MIL and 2 grandkids. Host and hostess for this gathering was my oldest daughter and SIL in their gorgeous riverfront home. Many members of his family were also in attendance. A real festive occasion.
Hope your TG was filled with love and laughter as well.
Today back to 120 prot, 25 ecc and a bit of exercise. (and a nap of course)

Hi Gaelen and Monty.

My Turkey day was a success LC day. As planned my days carb totals were 33. Only 3 carbs over the allowed 30 for Phase 1. Not bad for a holiday notorious for stuffing yourself to agony.

I love just trying to figure out creative ways to use left over turkey and ham. I'm anxious to try the combination Doy came up with for Supper.

Even though this is a scheduled exercise day I did not exercise. Yesterday, being Thursday, was the day Toni(physical therapist from VA hospital)comes for weekly stretch and massage. She was rescheduled for this morning. I feel great after this morning's session. Totally relaxed >yawn< hmm, not sure if that was the result of the massage or residual trytophan from yesterday.

Breakfast- 1/2c cottage cheese, 7 breakfast sausage links, 47gms strawberries. 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 9gms carbs

Lunch- Salad, (2c roughly chopped romaine; 1/2 med avocado, cubed; 1/4c cubed cucumber; 1/8c chopped onion; 1 boiled egg, quartered lengthwise; 1 slice crumbled bacon; 5ozs shredded turkeybreast; 2T bleu cheese dressing. 2c green tea.
43gms protein, 9gms carbs

Supper- 5oz left over ham, 1oz swiss cheese, 1/4c sauted peppers & onions, all rolled up in a LC tortilla and place under boiler to heat it all up and melt the cheese. 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 8gms carbs.

I'm here! Yesterday was a day of sane eating. My splurge was a slice of pumpkin pie without the crust. I don't even think I went over my carb limit for the day (but I didn't count). ;)

I shopped today, but not at the malls. I went to a neighboring town with a lovely old downtown full of unique shops and great restaurants. We finally settled on an Irish restaurant. The Guinness cheese soup turned out to have potatoes in it, but I ate around them. The entree was a burger with Irish bacon and some kind of cheese melted on it. I'll have spinach salad with leftover turkey for dinner.

We got our snow this morning, although it's gone now. Dark and gloomy this afternoon. The Geezer and I are working on making a clock for his niece for a Christmas gift. He's already found a perfect piece of wood and he's digging about in his box of "good stuff" for an appropriate clock face.

Just touching base. On track today but will be away for the weekend and catch up on Monday.

Some of the team are going up to the cottage for the weekend and it will be assigned meals so I'll choose wisely.

Hey, all...didn't do well yesterday, but had planned for that, so it wasn't a surprise...but today, had done well until some lemon chicken (with the ooey gooey sauce) came into the house...I wasn't even hungry but ate it anyway. Tomorrow...I WILL NEAN!!! We have turkey, ham, green beans with bacon, cheese, etc., so I don't need to even look very hard.

Have a great weekend!

I'll hold you to it, Aaron! :) I have protein around, too, but I also have apple pie, so I'm not out of the woods.

I had spinach salad with turkey, fresh mushrooms and shredded cheese for dinner tonight. I have more green beans to cook for tomorrow and I'll flavor them with the fat from yesterday's bacon and a bit of red wine vinegar.
