Good morning! Now that we've navigated past Thanksgiving, it's time to clean up (or throw out) those leftovers and get on with our journey. My holiday was quite sane, which is something to be thankful for!

Today is perfect for putting together our Christmas card (in Photoshop). :) Peaceful and quiet, no visitors, minimal cooking. I'll be a computer nerd today.

What's on your docket?

Hi Carol, are you feeling lonesome this morning.? Where is everybody?

Today is projected to be slightly higher ECC -28- and about the same Protein.
I have found myself back into the habit of the nightly cocktail with DW :(. Come Monday, will modify that situation. Marina club tonight and company tomorrow so Monday is the target day.

I had an enjoyable afternoon and evening with my two youngest granddaughters. Doy was trying to teach our six year old how to crochet. What a comical event. At six I don't think GD has the physical dexterity to accomplish such an intricate deed. They were both becoming quite frustrated. GD finally did figure out how to do a single stitch chain. By the time her mother picked her up she must have had at least a twenty foot chain. She was so proud.

Food was on track yesterday, I drank plenty of water. I didn't exercise but I did get a visit from Toni my PT for some stretching and massage.

Everbody have a good day.

Breakfast- 2 eggs, 4 whites, 3 Esskay turkey bacon, 105gms strawberries, 2c green tea.
43gms protein, 10gms carbs.

Lunch- 4oz grilled sirloin pork chop; broccoli salad(broccoli florets, onion, bacon, pecans, dressed w/mayo, vinegar, Splenda and celery seed), 2c green tea.
49gms protein, 8gms carbs.

Supper- 5oz grilled steak, steamed broccoli/cauliflower, 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 11gms carbs.

I'm rarely lonesome on this board, Monty! :) There are other nooks and crannies to chat in. Actually, we don't get some of the regulars on weekends, but I always want to have a place where people can post. Good numbers yesterday, by the way.

I think that's about when my grandma started teaching me, Bill. I remember making lots of chains. You can take a really long one and glue it onto paper in a spiral. Shorter ones make necklaces. They also drape nicely from a lampshade. :D She could never teach me to knit, though. :p

Carol that's some good ideas. I'll relay them to Doy. She can help GD with some of your ideas. It should give her a good sense of accomplishment.

It should give her a good sense of accomplishment. I think that's what it's all about. That's why my refrigerator is hung with fingerpaintings and magnetic numbers. ;)

Brunch was beef and vegetables left over from dinner. It was quick and I didn't feel like eggs again. Dinner is TBD. I have three pounds of pork sausage to make patties with, so that might be the basis of dinner.

Yesterday was bright and sunny but today is a fog bank. We'll be shoveling snow by Thursday. :( The Geezer is planning on heading down to southern Illinois that morning, so I hope he will drive out of the snow fairly early. Ah, Winter! I have new tires on my old 4WD, so I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I even found some gloves and put them in the car!

Carol our refrigerator is also decorated with all sorts of artwork from the creative fingers of our grandchildren. The one piece is about 14 years old. It was made by our now 18 yo and first born grandchild.

I told Doy about your ideas. It inspired her to come up with an idea for the very long chain GD created yesterday. Looks like we have a new decoration for our Christmas tree this year. We're not telling GD about it. I want to see the expression on her little face when she discovers her creation made Mamaw and Pappap's tree.

I'm frying up breakfast sausage from DS's hog hunt. It tastes so much better than the commercial stuff. It will be my lunches next week.
