Good morning! We begin the month of December with a plan. Four weeks until Christmas that will be laced with parties and temptation lies ahead. It may be rough for some, but we know that low carb eating is where we feel good and we're not going to dive into the carbs.

If you post daily, you'll stay connected to like-minded people and not feel so vulnerable. This challenge will be here every day.

Breakfast is a protein shake. Lunch will be sausage patties. Dinner will be pot roast and carrots. Snacks will be almonds and/or Lindt 85%.

Lets get going!

Morning all.
I have a lot to do today, but I don't have any meetings, so I can just close my office door and get stuff done!
I may even get to step outside in some sunlight today?!!
Our elevator was out yesterday and won't be fixed until Wednesday, so I'm getting daily exercise by having to go up to the 5th floor. And we have tall floors so it really feels like a LOT of stairs! It's good for me, and good timing happening right after Thanksgiving.

7am brat wrap, 2hb eggs
11am lc lasagna, 2celery, 1 carrot, zuccini
3pm 2 turkey stix, iced coffee
6pm dbl burger, lc bread, up to 17 soy crisps (not sure I have that many left in the bag)

Beauty of a day here on the shore- clear and sunny and a bit cool. The ocean is calm and the boats are out for rockfish around the inlet jetties. There wont be too many more days before they will pack it in for the winter.
B-shake with egg. Thanks to Mikki, I ordered 3- 32 oz almond breezes with only 2 carbs per cup from Netrition.com. I thihnk they have the chocolate. Locally I could only find it with close to 10 carbs. Next on the list, pumpkin with no added sugar. Gonna put some variety into these shakes. Prior to 6w, I ate 6 oz of plain yogurt mixed with fruit and vanilla whey as part of B. Too many carbs. Found that the shakes satisfy this craving somewhat but I do miss the yogurt.:crybaby:
L- burger with son at the historic Atlantic hotel.
D- Rotisserie chicken, peas (smothered in butter), and salad

Can't believe I am so organized.:)
Have a wonderful day

Tuesday 12/1/09

Good morning everybody.

Because I plan everything ahead, I don't think Christmas is going to be a problem. I got through Thanksgiving unscathed and this will be just a repeat of that holiday for me.

No exercise today but I did do some light stretching before breakfast.

Breakfast- 1/2c cottage cheese, 7 breakfast sausage links, 47gms strawberries. 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 9gms carbs

Lunch- 2 roast beef rollups; 4ozs deli roast beef, 2ozs deli swiss cheese, 2 red leaf lettuce leafs, 1T chipotle mayonnaise, 1 med peach(3-1/2ozs), 2c green tea
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.

Supper- 6oz grilled chicken; 1/2c green beans; 1/2 med peach, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.

I agree with you, Bill. The holidays aren't scary, food-wise. Emotionally, they're much more manageable because I'm confident. Also stubborn enough not to let conversation with "Aunt Jane" drive me to the buffet table! ;) I was so enlightened when I realized that little fact!

I'm tired and cranky tonight but it won't affect what I eat. (maybe what I drink...) B & L were the usual, dinner will be a steak with mushrooms and zucchini followed by a bath and early to bed. Maybe actually getting enough sleep will help get my out of my funk.

Sounds good, Jilly. I'm sure the sleep will help too.
