Morning Carol :)
Are we having an "official" December challenge with specific goals or just doing a daily thing to get us through the holidays?
I'm here, soggy again :( Had a PBJ binge yesterday afternoon, then no dinner (aka shake) so didn't get December off to a great start. Today will be better.
Planned:
Breakfast : Chocolate shake
Snack: LC yogurt, almonds
Lunch: Italian chicken, green beans
Snack: Cheerwine shake
Dinner: salmon patties, steamed carrots
I also have a bit of cheese stashed in my lunchbox if I get hungry again at work

Mikki, that is one of my favorite breakfasts!!
I'm hoping while I type that I'll have an inspiration as to what supper will be. I found some new low carb bread and it's acceptable, and affordable, but I think it's giving me gas. Darn it!!

Either than or the soy crisps

The crisps are gone now so we'll see how my body reacts when I eat just the bread.
Anyway...food for today.

11am lc lasagna, light n fit yogurt
4pm chix gyro salad (NO PITA)
7pm 2 turkey stix

Cute comics Ammy! How do you make LC Lasagna? It sounds good!

Sounds Great!!!
Dreamfields is not available in Ottawa but I order from Toronto twice a year. I've never ordered teh Lasagna Noodles but will do so this week. I have to order $100 to get free shipping but it is easy to reach that number a few times/year.
Today:
B: LC cereal with extra Whey Protein
L:Ham & Cheese roll-ups
D: left over chicken

Good morning everybody. A few days and it will be weigh-in time again. I'm liking this once a month weighing. It takes away the daily stress of natural weight fluctuations that discourages so many people.
Breakfast- Cheesy Spinach Omelet(1T olive oil; 1/8 onion, diced; 1 clove garlic, minced; 1c/21gms spinach; 2 slices turkey bacon(I use Esskay's), diced; 4 eggs, beaten; 1oz cream cheese, small dice, 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 6gms carbs.
Lunch- 6oz grilled chicken; 1c steamed buttered broccoli, 2c green tea.
45gms protein, 7gms carbs.
Supper- Baked orange-roughy fillet; 1/2c wax beans; 1/2 med peach, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.

Are we having an "official" December challenge with specific goals or just doing a daily thing to get us through the holidays?December is just Part 2 of the November Challenge, Becca. Go back and read the start-up sticky if you want a refresher. It's all about having goals, measuring progress and getting though the holidays. The key is having a way to measure how far we've come, whether it's looser clothes, fewer slips, better sleep, weight loss, or anything else that is meaningful to each of us. :)

I better go read the Nov challenge!
Looks great Bill!!!
Late post today- popped a crown last night having a tbsp of peanut butter. Just got back from the dentist and she popped it back in with a lot of concrete or was it cement. Tastes like it could be concrete. :(
B and L- shakes with no ice
D- soft boiled eggs
Not really too exciting is it.

Hi Guys,
I know, it's been a long time, but I'm back for awhile.
It's been a year or so since I posted regularly and during that time I lost some weight and then gained it back, so I've really made no progress. My husband joined me in doing lower carb, but now he's kind of lost interest, and it's harder when I'm not accountable to anyone.
I was faithful to my work outs through the spring, but cut back during the summer (travel, golf & yard work) and then didn't really pick back up in the fall. Are we seeing a theme here?
I did check up on you all from time to time and read Dr. Mike's new book (which was really a disappointment to me) so I haven't really been away.
My goal is to post regularly in December in this thread and maybe in the exercise thread once I get back into a regular exercise routine.
Yesterday's totals by FitDay: 1724 cal, 34 net carb.
Today's plan:
Breakfast: protein shake
Lunch: protein shake with added egg and pumpkin puree'
Snack: Fage yogurt and blackberries
Dinner: Turkey breast on low carb wrap (lettuce, mayo, etc), green beans
Snack: Blue Bunny sf Fudge bar.
No exercise today, but I did go to the gym Saturday, Monday & Tuesday so I am getting back on track as far as exercise.

Hi again,
Re: low carb lasagne.
LindaSue, who has a website full of low carb recipes (am I allowed to give the name?) has a lasagne recipe where thin slices of low-sodium deli turkey are subbed for the noodles. I've made it twice and we think its great.
If I'm allowed to on this site, I can post a link.
Karen
Mikki, you can use Zucchini, sliced the longway.
Here is a recipe, but there isn't nutrition analysis.

Thank you all for the lasagna ideas!
BPM ~ they can pop off? Glad it is an easy fix!
Karen Howdy! I'm recently back to the forum also. I think a daily check in sure helps a lot. I'll be right with you checking in :)
I hope you all have a terrific evening!

You've learned more about yourself, haven't you? Welcome back to the board! :D We'll make progress together!
