Good morning! Are you drinking your water? :paranoid:

I'm having my protein shake right now. Lunch will be sausage patties. Dinner will be a huge salad, probably with chicken. Snack is usually almonds and Lindt. Maybe berries and cream or ricotta in the evening.

We're expecting measurable snow today. Yuk. So far it's dry, but by tomorrow morning we'll have several inches. Oh well, the yard is raked and the house is tight. The vehicles are winterized. I guess I'm ready!

Morning Carol and all to come...

I have a 16oz glass of water in front of me, my 64oz jug ready for work plus an extra 16oz bottle just in case, and will have more water when I get home from work.... usually not a problem for me :D

I've had my shake.... have LC yogurt, almonds, LC wrap (turkey, bacon, roast beef), cheese and baby carrots packed in my lunch box though I doubt I'll actually eat all of it. Dinner will be a shake today.

Sun is out again today and supposed to be in the 60s, I am so tired of warm Decembers, want to live where it gets cold in the winter ;) Think I did hear it may be in the 40s on Saturday though so maybe I'll brave the traffic and get some shopping done.

Giving up my Christmas music today to listen to try to win concert tickets for a Christmas present.

Hi all- Up early for wt WO and ISO. Yesterday was very light on the food intake due to the tooth fairy and I was very ready to eat this am.
B- shake, cottage cheese, 2 eggs and 2 bacon. very lo carb but filling
L- 1/2 LC Pita filled with 3 oz deli turkey and small salad
D- ?? probably leftovers and veggies
Everyday is thirsty for me- drink lots of water, 2 cups decaf coffee and lots of tea (black and green) Our local coffee shop has great tasting black tea and they start making me a large b/4 I get in the door. Good thing I don't drink beer.
I notice some of you list LC yogurt. How many carbs per cup?? What is the brand name? Our local food stores no longer stock full fat yogurt (12 carbs) and wont order any.:(

I'm gonna wanna hear good things from you at the end of this two weeks, Amy!

Well, I hope you had an uneventful road trip, Mikki.

Our local food stores no longer stock full fat yogurt (12 carbs) and wont order any.:(Monty, I hope that attitude doesn't catch on. I can even get the 10% fat greek yogurt and full fat cottage cheese and ricotta cheese, which is 4%.

Well, we're getting our snow now. The Geezer checked his truck radiator just before setting off on a 400-mile trip this morning. It was very low, so I told him to take my car, and it's a good thing he did because he's got a copious radiator leak and wouldn't have made it as far as Chicago. Luckily, we've got one more available vehicle for me to drive, and a neighbor who is a backyard mechanic.

Good Afternoon!

It's cold today in St. Louis--first time I've needed to wear my winter jacket. But no snow, which I'm thankful for.

My workout is finished. As I did it, I listened to Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" trying to stir up some Christmas spirit. Hard for me to get into it this year. But later today I plan to decorate the tree that has been standing in our living room for about a week now.

Yesterday's totals by FitDay: 1539 cal, 35 net carb.

Today's plan:
Breakfast: Quiche Casserole (chicken, veggies, eggs, cheese, etc.)
Snack after workout: Babybel Cheese
Lunch: Whey protein shake with pumpkin puree'
Snack: Greek yogurt with berries
Dinner: Pork chop, sauerkraut, lettuce salad.

Have a great day!
Karen

I make my own yogurt using whole milk and organic yogurt for starter. I let it process for about 8-10 hours and then strain it. The end result has the same taste and texture as Fage Total (which is great, but expensive). I really don't know how many carbs are in the yogurt I make, but I count it the same as the Fage (1/2 C = 150 calories and 3.5 carb). Because it's so thick and creamy a little goes a long way.

I use a Salton yogurt maker that I bought on Amazon and I've never had a failed batch. It makes 4 cups at a time which yields about 2 cups of Greek-style strained yogurt.

Well I get the local "store brand" yogurt, Kroger "Carbmaster", 6oz cup has 3 ECCs and 12g protein, combined with my 1/4c almonds makes a perfect snack.

Am exhausted from work today :( I'm 3 weeks behind already and found out today that the person I fill in for (boss' wife at that) will be out of the office Mon-Wed next week so I will spend those 3 days doing her job and not mine. :(

Thanks all for the yogurt responses. Unfortunately, Krogers is not in the area. I googled LC yogurt and found that by draining lo fat yogurt (which is all I can get), the carbs are reduced to 6-8 from 15 per cup. I use 1/3rd cup so that's good enough for me if it's true.
BTW the almond breeze just arrived.
