Hi! I can't believe it's Monday again! :jawDrop: It seems like we just checked our landmarks and here we are again. Are you keeping to your course? Anyone feeling frustrated, deprived? Is there a special or traditional dish for which you can't seem to find a low carb substitute? Someone on this board might just have a solution for you.
Breakfast was a pumpkin shake. Lunch will be tuna salad. Dinner looks like meatloaf, but it won't be if I can get to the butcher tonight!
Have a great day!

Good morning! I'm not really planned out for the day quite yet. Breakfast was eggs with cheese, coconut oil and ginger tea. I was really hungry since I'd not eaten since 8am yesterday. Tummy is still undecided on if I should have eaten yet :(

Hi, Y'all,
Got busy last week, out of town this past weekend.
Ate many of relative's annual Christmas cookies, but back on plan today. Very frustrated with myself. I can seem to avoid everything but those.
I so agree, Ammy, I am glad it is a new day!
Michelle, get to feeling better.
Carole, I wish I could find a substitute for chocolate chip cookies w/ walnuts.
Need to get back into exercise and back on plan.
Today, looks like this:
B- scrambled eggs for breakfast, bacon, hood choc milk, coffeee w splash of half and half
L-deli ham wrapped in romaine leaves, cherry tomatoes, sf choc mousse
S-clementine
D-? probably grilled chic or steak, yellow squash w/ onions, green salad.
Here is to losing.......

Good morning everyone.
I'm sticking to my plan. All my food is based on PP phase 1 right now. I'm getting all my water then some. My exercising is going along quite well. So I'd say I'm right on track with my landmarks to this point.

Know what I think is even more unbelievable at least to me...this month is almost half over. Wasn't the first just a few days ago? :jawDrop:

Ammy just looks like a little bump in the road. At least you're back on track and didn't quit like so many do!

Michelle, hope you're feeling better soon. That ginger tea sure helps me when I have stomach issues. I brew mine from fresh ginger.

Cookies have always been a downfall for me. I'm a regular cookie monster. I've never been able to find a suitable, satisfying LC cookie recipe. So I made the decision if I can't have the real thing I'd rather not have any at all. I can't say I'm not still tempted but now I separate myself from them. If a plate of cookies say are set on the coffee table for a group to enjoy. I'll take the fartherest seat from them as possible. Even if I have to trade seats with somebody. If that doesn't work I'll leave the room until the overwhelming urge subsides. Over the years I've discovered that those cravings are temporary and will subside. If you can overcome that first overwhelming craving it gets easier and easier. I hope my way of dealing with this issue helps you. Good luck with your battle with the evil little cookies!
Doy's feeling a little better. The pain still there but she holding up to it a little better. She has a follow-up on Wednesday. The main concern now is pneumonia. Which surprised me. It appears that when you have broken ribs you have a tendancy to stifle a cough. This can result in fluid build up in the lungs, end result pneumonia.
I did my regular exercise routine as outlined in 'Movers & Shakers'.
Rest of the day will be pretty much uneventful.
Chowtime:
Breakfast- 2 whole eggs, 4 whites, 3 Esskay turkey bacon, 70gms blackberries, 2c green tea
43gms protein, 11gms carbs.
Lunch- 5oz grilled burger, 1oz cheddar cheese, freezer slaw, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 6gms carbs.
Supper- 6oz Cajun spiced orange-roughy fillet; tomato basil salad (1 med(5.2oz) tomato, 1/8c chopped onion, 4 thinly sliced basil leaves) dressed w/evoo & taragon vinegar; 1/2 med grilled peach, 2c green tea
40gms protein, 8gms carbs.

Today is a new day.
Yes it is, Amy. Carry on!
I was really hungry since I'd not eaten since 8am yesterday. Tummy is still undecided on if I should have eaten yet :(Michelle, are you ill?
Carole, I wish I could find a substitute for chocolate chip cookies w/ walnuts.Claudette, the best flavor substitute I found has been Lindt 85% and walnuts. I'm a cookie monster too.
Need to get back into exercise and back on plan.Yup! That's the route!

Good advice on the cookie situation, Bill.

Today will be eggs and leftovers. No cooking or mess involved although I was thinking of making another "pumpkin pie". This time I'll keep out just a couple of servings and freeze the rest. Last time I binged a bit on it. :o
I'm going to try to finish up a couple of projects around the house today, they have been lingering far too long. The rest of the week will be spent helping my sister in law do some painting at their new house. They moved in about 3 weeks ago and she's planning to have the family Christmas dinner now that they have enough space. She really wants to get started on some of the painting before then. The whole house needs paint but we will concentrate on the kitchen/family room and dining room. May change out a couple of light fixtures too. Work has died down completely, as expected, so now is a good time for this project. :)
Have a good day everyone.
