Good morning! Don't forget to hydrate. :) I've noticed with the extra heat I have drier skin and a tickle in my throat. I'm going to up my water intake.

Breakfast is going to be eggs today. Lunch will be beef vegetable soup. Dinner will be pot roast if I remember to take it out of the freezer. ;)

No new snow in the forecast so I can leave my boots on the shelf. Did I mention I don't like to wear boots? ;)

Have a great day, everyone!

HI, y'all,

Up early and ready to roll, in a busy clinic today.

Will exercise when I get home, I will need it to unwind!

Carol, I, agree with the hydration, as I too, get dry skin and a tickle in my throat also. Brought a large container of tea, which when I finish, I will make it ice water. Gets hot in the exam room I am in.

Menu:
B-eggs, hood choc milk, tea
L-(hopefully) lc sandwich w/ beef bologna/ cheese, lettuce, tomatoe
S-whey protein pudding from vitamin shop
S-cassein protein jello
D-baked chic with rice(hubby likes), I will limit my rice to 1 or 2 Tbsps, brocoli, green salad

Have to adjust my ticker tonight, down a lb!

Have a great day, all.

Hi ladies, good to see you all up and at them already.

I meant to say howdy to you yesterday Claudette--so good to have you back posting again !! Are you still taking classes or doing clinicals or what these days?

Stay warm Carol we are going to to have low 50's here today so of course the dh will go golfing . He tries to make it when it is this nice and I don't blame him.

I may go to the library and do a bit more shopping but had a crummy night sleeping again last night so don't know for sure. Up at a little after 2 and just dozed a bit til we officially got up at 6. I don't know why I do that---hope the Shadow hasn't put a hex on me til I catch up with all the exercises I missed in Oct. and Nov. !!!

OK, I'll join the ladies and tip a glass or 2.
Karole, it's beautiful here also but a 24 degree wind chill doesn't make for good golf. This area seldom has weather like this - must be the nino/nina twins.
B= usual shake this time with pump ala Carol.
L- burger and small salad
D- some kind of chicken per DW
Had L with DS yesterday and had an outstanding platter of Carolina pulled pork- it had a thin vinegar/tomato sauce so I don't think there was a lot of sugar in it. Fitday was no help so I gave myself 16 carbs- but that may have been a tad high. Anybody out there know about Carolina BBQ???

Those Nina and Nino twins can be a pain, can't they Monty. Hope you get warmer weather soon. Ammy can have allllll the cold stuff she wants....and my share too.

Well, it didn't warm up as quickly as predicted so instead of dh golfing we did the carpet cleaning thing--moving furniture and etc. I am tired and am not going anywhere. Sewing on a quilt sounds pretty good to me right now. A nap sounds even better.

Morning everybody!

Good morning! Don't forget to hydrate. :) I've noticed with the extra heat I have drier skin and a tickle in my throat. I'm going to up my water intake.

Most houses are equiped with a dry heat source and does contribute to the drying of skin, sinuses, mouth and throat. That's why we suffer from increased dry skin, nose bleeds, dry mouth and sore throat in the winter. Hydration will help as will adding moisture to the air by means of humidifier or placing heat proof containers of water on radiators, floor registers, or baseboard heaters.

Lunch will be beef vegetable soup.

Beef vegetable soup sounds good.

Do you use a LC recipe and is it posted in the Recipe thread?

Me too! In fact I don't even own a pair.

Karole, it's actually getting a bit too warm up here...
I woke up to 12 (wind chill of 2 above) and it's getting up to 22.
Yuck...not cold enough!!

It's a bad day for me today...food-wise. I believe the worst part is over, but I wanted to check in cause otherwise I get too far away from you guys and for some reason that seems to be enough of an excuse to keep eating...

Good on ya, Claudette! You kind of snuck that in there. ;)

I don't know why I do that---hope the Shadow hasn't put a hex on me til I catch up with all the exercises I missed in Oct. and Nov. !!!Karole, it might just be that that is a natural effect of slacking off? Hmmmm?

Had L with DS yesterday and had an outstanding platter of Carolina pulled pork- it had a thin vinegar/tomato sauce so I don't think there was a lot of sugar in it. Boy does that sound good, Monty! My experience is that there is likely to be more sugar in it than reaches the tastebuds. I say that without knowing anything at all about Carolina barbecue.

Beef vegetable soup sounds good.

Bill, I never make it the same way twice, but it's a lazy-day soup. I do use canned tomatoes as a base, which adds carbs. I also usually put in canned zucchini for eye appeal. I've never figured the numbers. There's always plenty of meat. Even the spices change between mexican and italian. When I make it for the boys, which is usually, I add things like corn and barley or pasta and make myself a different dish. I have dinner three hours earlier than they do, so I usually don't want to wait until theirs is done.

I'm drinking water!

:tear:Don't let it be, Amy! I'm going to have to get powers like Shadow, where I can watch you every minute. :D I think I'll opt for a garden hose instead of a whip, though. Doesn't that sound like fun?;)

Didn't I just say a few days ago that work seems to be done for the year? Apparently I was wrong. Haven't been doing much more painting at my brothers place but one more decent paycheck will be nice. I guess we'll paint on the weekend, I'll have another long day tomorrow too.

Food was as planned through the day but after the gym I went shopping while hungry..... Ended up eating some sort of frankenfood chicken and cheese ball things for dinner. Well at least they were lc. Am having some more water now and then off to bed.
