Good morning! Are you enjoying the festivities, or dreading the food choices? If I go prepared, I find that I focus more on the people and the conversation than the food and the result is greater enjoyment.
Breakfast is eggs. Lunch is a venison burger. Dinner will be beef and chorizo.
I think I have a music party tonight, but food won't be an issue. Getting organized enough to get there might be!
Have a great day! :)

Friday 12/18/09
Morning Carol, when I go to holiday outings I will generally get involved with whatever nonfood activities that are available. Several of the activities are based around seasonal holiday music. Many of the relatives take the musical instrument they play. Hard to eat when you're playing a guitar for several hours.
I did my usual exercises before breakfast.
Not much planned for today, not much outdoor activity I can get involved in.
Here's my food for today.
Breakfast- 1/2c cottage cheese, 7 breakfast sausage links, 47gms strawberries. 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 9gms carbs
Lunch- Salad, (2c roughly chopped romaine; 1/2 med avocado, cubed; 1/4c cubed cucumber; 1/8c chopped onion; 1 boiled egg, quartered lengthwise; 1 slice crumbled bacon; 5ozs shredded chicken breast; 2T bleu cheese dressing. 2c green tea. 43gms protein, 9gms carbs
Supper- 6oz grilled sirloin pork chop, 10 grilled asparagus spears, 1/2 med grilled peach, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 8gms carbs.
It's my GF's 50th birthday today. She likes chocolate so no worries about me eating cake today.

Hi, ya'll,
Yea, it's Friday! Less busy day planned today where I am going to in clinics.
Carol, since trying to stay on PP, I attempt to socialize, socialize at festive functions, with a club soda in my hand, then I am not so tempted to eat. I am not good at handling a plate of food and a drink!
Bill, wow, I love guitar music. When I go to family functions, there is a piano, which DH plays and we sing and get family to sing. Hard to eat and sing at the same time!
Ammy, alittle chocolate won't be too bad. All the best to your GF.
Karole, great to "see" you too. I am still in grad school, but took off from Oct -Dec 09 to pass (3) National Boards again, (successfully, don't have to repeat for 5 years). I will start school again the end of Jan 09.
School is a breeze compared to studying for those boards.:jawDrop:
Today, will be exercise after work, got up a bit late today.
Menu:
B-1/3 c. oatmeal, whey protein shake in hood milk, tea
L-leftover 2 Tbsp's rice, chicken breast, sliced tomato
S-clementine
S-(on the way home) tomato juice
D-Leftover baked chicken again, most of the rice is gone, green salad.
Have a great Friday, all.

Hard to eat when you're playing a guitar for several hours. I agree with that, Bill. That's the reason I'm not concerned with the party tonight. ;)
It's my GF's 50th birthday today. She likes chocolate so no worries about me eating cake today.Happy birthday to GF, and I hope she enjoys her chocolate, Amy. I'm sure your choices will be lc.
