A late start today. Are you busy today or are you relaxing? Anything special going on? What's on your feast! ;)
Thank you for all the good wishes and season's greetings!

Hi, Carol,
Relaxing now. Dinner is over.
Heard from our only son/dil; they will be on the way in Jan for a visit with new 5 month old grandaughter.
Relatives here, favorite cousin, doing better from his stroke on Oct 31,09. He is only 52.
Other relatives on the way.
Got into my size 10 jeans today. :) Thought, I suspect they are one of those 10's that are a bit big, (from a thrift store), it is still nice to be able to get into them.
Didn't do too bad on dinner. I skipped desert, nothing I liked I baked, but that is ok with me.
Snow and ice from overnight are now melted, now 39 degrees.
Rare to have a white Christmas here in Texas.
Will go for a walk later.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Having a very quiet day here. :D My brother and sil dropped by for coffee and returned our chairs from last night. Mom came over for brunch, eggs benny with smoked lox (no english muffin for me) with avocado and tomato on the side. Dinner will be just DH and I and I'm bbq'ing a duck. We have a very nice wine we've been saving that will go well with the duck. We have been playing ping pong, enjoying winter ale and now I'm headed outside to do some yard work (?), it seems like a good day for it, not raining and not frozen. :).
Enjoy what's left of Christmas everyone.

Hi y'all! I got off easy today. DS cooked. I've had eggs, a venison steak in tomato sauce plus a pork chop and a handful of almonds.
Tomorrow's the big family breakfast and party. I'm going to have some protein before I go so that I won't be hungry at all. It will be all carbs except for sausage links. I'm bringing a potato casserole, so that won't help.
Off to make the casserole. I'll have to have it in the oven by 7:30 a.m. in order to make the party on time.

Can I get away with a reason's greetings? ;)
Had the hordes here yesterday - so much feed around the turkey had morphed into a medium sized pterodactyl ... christened (ha!) Terry ... and he looked magnificent (if I do say myself) and tasted better. ham, smoked salmon, summer fruits, champagne, wine, fine cheeses ... very nice and amazingly relaxing day, weather perfect (as it is for take 2 champagne brunch today ...)

Merry Christmas everyone. Took a day off-line yesterday, but thankfully Christmas is a season, not just a day.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day with family and friend feasting and celebrating. Keep it up for the next 11 days! I plan to. Cheers!

On your deck with the beautiful view, Malcolm
Had drinks and nibbles on the deck both days, but decided it was a bit warm to sit in the sun for a long lunch - so we ate inside (same view) with the fan keeping us cool and attention to hydration levels being a priority! ;)
Warmer still for take 3 (tomorrow) - prawns (ok 'shrimp' if you must!) on the bbq - and more bubbly stuff methinks!:p
I could list all the foods I avoided, but just ate too much food in general. It may have been "okay" foods, but way too much in general.
sigh...
Glad Christmas is over!
