Good morning! Are you back to normal? Are you dealing with leftovers? I have no leftovers, but the boys have received cookies and candy that are on my kitchen counter. :p I also have eggs, sausage, pork chops and venison in the fridge.
Coffee's ready, so I'll start with that, then have a good protein snack before heading off to the breakfast party later.
Have a great day!

Hi Carol, it's lonely out here today, huh. I just got on a few min. as we are expecting my son and family in from Kansas in a few hours. Yippeeee they are getting to come afterall. I was so afraid the crappy weather would make it impossible. We didn't get much snow and none of it stuck to the ground. Up a few miles north they did get a bit more and my son will be traveling through that area. I'm sure the roadways are okay though.
Hope every one had a great holiday--mine will be extended a bit since the family is coming in for almost a week and we have yet another birthday party tomorrow !! But it is all good !!
Take care all and stay warm.

It sure is, Karole! It sure doesn't feel like a Saturday. I am living like the stores aren't open, but I don't really need anything anyway.
What I need is someone to come and clean my house! We collected the boxes and wrap, but there are piles of things I just haven't had time or energy to put away yet.
We had a lovely party today, but I ate too much of a couple of traditional foods that I allowed. :( Back to just protein and lots of water. :p

Hi, y'all,
Carol, like you, I ate too much of the traditional foods I allowed.
Karole, so glad your son and family are coming to see you.
Bill, don't worry, hold off the exercise untill your neuropathy gets better.
I did start the exercise again, 45' of hiking up hills in my neighborhood. Whew!
Back on track.
One more get together tomarrow. My sis and family are coming over to exchange gifts. Making desert, but it is one I do not like, so I will be ok.
Have a great day all.

Almost back on track. Relatives gone and almost all carby foods as well.
I got my wife a Wii Fit and am enjoying it myself. I committed for a kilo over teh next two weeks and have tried a few of the sports as well.
THe Wii Fit put me at 10 years older than I am based on weight and reaction times I believe. I'll work on that a few times a week.
Going to see a midnight screening of a Italian, Cannibal movie with my son, "The Man from Deep River" and will sleep in tomorrow.

I got my wife a Wii Fit and am enjoying it myself.Way to go, Randy! I'm sure you'll drop ten years in no time at all! :)
Most of the family tornado storm is over and things are beginning to return to a slight resemblance of normal. This afternoon will be one last short visit from DW's 2 monster granddaughters and their parents will clean out the remaining toxic foodstuff. My garage is so full of trash there is room for only one vehicle. Methinks a trip to the dump is in order since trash pickup is not until Tuesday.
I did worse than I thought I would with the carbs: 24th= 56 25th= 96
26th= 68. With that comes the bloat, gerd and all the other unpleasant aftershocks. :(
Today is back to LC.
Hope all survived the onslaught as did Bill.

Saturday, up four pounds. This morning, down 4 pounds  I've concluded that there's no rhyme or reason to this. I'm not concerned right now anyway, plan to refocus in January.
Dinner for Mom and my aunt tonight, I'm planning a caprese salad appy followed by lamb chops with cauliflower/goat cheese and roasted garlic puree, asparagus and baked acorn squash. Dessert, if anyone wants any, will be sugar free chocolates. No doubt a couple of bottles of wine will also meet their end. :)
One more cocktail party after that and then clean up my act a lot.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Good to hear from everyone. My day has been normal--as much as possible since my grandson is with us this weekend. DS decided to overhaul his corner of the house, so we all helped. A satisfying day!
We're getting tons of snow today. The prediction was six to twelve inches. Got six, heading for twelve!
Got home around 4pm on Sunday and proceeded to fall asleep in my chair. I went to bed at 8pm and slept until 6am this morning.
I think I was overly tired, what do you think?

Not nearly as bad as we thought it might be. Dry on the way home. Weird on the way there, we were never quite sure if we were driving in rain, ice, sleet or snow?? Or all of them!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this board, but not new to PP. I got on the scale this morning and WOW...time to get back on track. I look forward to getting to know all of of you who are on the same journey.
I'm glad that Christmas is over. My husband is one of six boys, so family gatherings at his parents' home are hectic when all of the boys, wives, kids, grand kids, etc. are there in the same house. Lots of carby foods. Tom's mom has Celiac disease, so she has to eat gluten free products, which helps keep the carbs to a minimum, and she bakes with Splenda, so she and I eat mostly the same foods.
I'm glad to be back in control of my eating and looking forward to the journey.
I will update my profile with pics and stuff as soon as I can.
Lisa:thumbsup:
