Good morning Claudette!

Thanks for starting us off on a Terrific Tuesday. When you "float" are you having to drive to different buildings, or do you stay in just one? At least it's not snowing yet...

I'm going to make my Tuesday terrific by shopping for more vittles. I'm running low on some basic ingredients and I don't want to get caught short.

Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be sausage/chicken/veg casserole. Dinner will be roast beef.

Carol,
I thankfully stay in one large building so I use my legs to take me from one clinic to another.

Do you think Shadow would count that ambulation as part of my cardio?

Not much planned for today. Like Carol I need to get some supplies in so I will have to actually leave the house. :( I'm such a homebody! I found an eggnog recipe that I can make really LC so will be making that in a bit. That was one thing I did miss this holiday season. Better late than never.

We have a cocktail party to attend in the afternoon, I will have a hefty lunch before to try to reduce the amount of nibbling I do.

B: eggs and smokie
L: salmon and avocado salad, eggnog
S: whatever LC stuff I can find at the party
D: chicken thighs

Tuesday 12/29/09

Good afternoon everybody

As several of you, I have no special plans for today.

I did some light stretching this morning before breakfast. I was puzzled to find that every muscle of my body was sore. As if I had went through a strenuous workout yesterday, which I hadn't. I don't understand why they are so sore. Its only on exertion of any degree that they feel sore. Strange. With some of the problems I have, I'm giving it one more day then calling the doctor. Anybody have any experience like this?

My meal plan for today.

Breakfast- 1/2c cottage cheese, 7 breakfast sausage links, 47gms strawberries. 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 9gms carbs

Lunch- 2 roast beef rollups; 4ozs deli roast beef, 2ozs deli swiss cheese, 2 red leaf lettuce leafs, 1T chipotle mayonnaise, 1 med peach(3-1/2ozs), 2c green tea
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.

Supper- 6oz grilled chicken; 1/2c green beans; 1/2 med peach, 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.

Had a great breakfast ham/eggs, and followed through with a mini weights workout and then 25 minutes with teh Wii Fit+ thing,
It was an expensive toy for my wife at CHristmas but she is not really into it. My son and I set it up on Boxing day, creating user profiles (Mii's) and did several of the games/exercises.
I spent an extra 20 minutes with my character enterinhg the height birthdate, etc., and it does provide great encouragemnet as well as feedback in what you do. THe congrats on teh weight loss since Boxing Day was interensting as well and you are prompted to set a new goal.

I haven't even been outside today (okay, I shook out a rug) and the Geezer volunteered to get groceries, so I took him up on it.

Bill, I will get aches and pains with weather changes. That seems to be more joint-related, though.

Randy, maybe your wife just hasn't found the aspect of Wii that will be fun for her yet? I applaud you for getting right into it! Maybe you'd better go out and get her some jewelry! ;)

I had a very busy day.
Woke, took GF to hospital for coloscopy (all is well), went to lunch, went shopping, went for coffee, exercised, put away Christmas presents, researched wine given in wine basket, went to supper with friends.

Sigh...

It was a great day. All on plan except supper which was at a Chinese restaurant and the hosts ordered everything. I didn't have rice, I avoided most of the fried foods (had a couple wings and 2 wontons) but did descover something called ChowFun which was noodles and meat. Big flat noodles.
So good...........
But overall, for me at a Chinese restaurant, I did great.
