If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.
St. Clement of Alexandra
We all hope, and then we look for direction. Dr. Mike opened a path for me and now I’m going places!
Breakfast will be a protein shake. I’ve found that an almond milk protein shake with a spoonful of cocoa and a few frozen strawberries added becomes thick and fluffy in the blender. I ate it with a spoon yesterday. I think when the weather is warm I’ll try freezing it to see if it works like ice cream. Imagine having ice cream for a meal! :D
Lunch is boring (but safe) sausage bake. Dinner will be a cheeseburger with mushrooms.
Same-o Same-o for me.
Weight is stagnant at the high end. But I just wait. Least it didn't go UP anymore!
7:30am brat wrap, 2hb eggs
11:30a lc goulash, green beans
3p iced coffee, 2oz cheese
6pm either a dbl burger with mustard/mayo, or another serving of lc goulash and bean (if I'm stuck at work)
Something to help start your day.

anyone feel like they've been HERE before??

Great quote again, Carol. I do hope but many times don't do the work to nurture the hope into reality. Your protein shake sounds yummy. I have some Almond Breeze -- might try it myself later today.
Ammy -- I'm with the guy in the first cartoon -- don't know where my head is most days.
OK so today is a new day. Brekkie was LC hot cereal and a half cara cara orange. Lunch will be venison steak, brussel sprouts, and cooked greens. Supper is up in the air, but might try Carol's strawberry "slushy" or if it is cold, perhaps chili as I found a container in the freezer. With a bit of chocolate and a glass of wine, that should bring me to around 60 ECC and 75 protein.

Hi, we are heading out for a trailride in a few minutes and it is bright and sunny. Still in the 30's but headed for 48 or so today. Yipeee. I am dressing warmly and wearing hat and gloves so will be dressed for the ride. (I hope)

Karole, the best part is feeling the body heat from the horse! At 48F, you probably won't need that. It's a heat wave!
Love the cartoons, Amy. I don't know where MY head was today! I left my lunch home and had to eat the tuna I keep in my desk for emergencies. I also keep mustard and mayo in the office fridge, plus I found one old (kinda dried up) flatout wrap in there, so it could have been worse!
Monty, one of my hopes is for the temps to get up to 40F this week. That would be fun!
BC, do you know I haven't been able to get frozen mango for months now? I used to like the mango/ginger combination. Peaches just don't cut it.
Ruth, the coconut muffin would be good right now.

Carol, I can't tell you how many times my lunch has looked like what your lunch was. And more often, I end up with a PB wrap. I just finished my pumpkin soup and am getting ready to do my exercise video and venture out to the post office.

A little late but had several meetings and a trip to Costco and rush back to work.
As for Hope, I have lots. I just don't always apply it since everything seems to come so easy ... except weight loss. :D:paranoid::D
I love the humor Ammy.
Today, in between meetings I ordered a few Flitter Fairies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koteTeKECCU&feature=player_embedded)from ThinkGeek.com for my granddaughter and a daughter of a friend who visits often. I'm a pushover for neat tech toys and these were on sale. There is even a YouTube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6NPtzo-nEU&feature=player_embedded)on flying them. ;-)

Good morning!
Down another 3/4 of a lb this morning... Hurray! I'll take it while i can get it so easily.
Breakfast was a few slices of crustless quiche and some coffee w/ h&h.
Lunch will be a pork chop and some hardboiled eggs
Dinner will hopefully be a meatloaf made by the bf... he's very good at that and its pretty low carb. Nom nom nom.
For snacks i've been making roast beef rollups with low carb tortilla and sometimes a slice of cheese if we've got it. delish!
and re: the low carb burgers, I think Carl's Jr is the same thing as Hardee's and their lc burger is great! I actually get the guacamole bacon cheeseburger lettuce wrapped and they're usually great about it. We went a few nights ago and they forgot to lettuce wrap it, but i put it on a lc tortilla and it was SO GOOD. I couldn't believe how well the whole wheat complemented the burger. I may have it that way from now on.
I need to get my butt moving now if i'm ever going to run a race at the end of march... that will be my goal for this week. i've been stretching in the mornings but need to start walking.
Have a great day y'all!

I took the easy way out tonight and picked up a salad from Culvers. I think it put me a bit high on carbs for today, but I love the chicken/cashew with my own dressing.

It's been another busy day and I had to go straight from work to a booster club meeting so dinner was pretty sad as I ate a few snacks I packed to eat on the drive. My meals have been very repetitive this week, but hey, it works for me!
B - Protein Shake & Nuts
L - Caesar Salad
D - Nuts, String Cheese
S - String Cheese & Tbsp Peanut Butter
Temps got into the high 30's today and the snow is melting. I believe it's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow.

I've only tried one of the Carls/Hardee's LC burgers; it was not so good. I'll have to try again at a different Carl's Jr. My favorite LC burger is from a local, family owned chain called "The Habit" that makes a great bacon cheeseburger with plenty of really crisp lettuce around it ("Lettuce wrapped upon request" is right up there on their menu board). #2 on my list is a "3x3 protein style" from In-N-Out Burger; you need to get three meat patties and three slices of cheese to make it close to enough to eat, but it is sure good. I hold the tomato and onion, but even if you get both of those, the burger has only 11g of carbs.

Good evening everybody!
As usual Ammy, some really funny cartoons.
I've been reviewing food requirements today in preparation to setting up a 31 day food plan. In this way I'll have plenty of variety. Less apt to get bored with my food. Which lately is becoming a factor. I've gotten all my water in fore today. Anymore from here out is bonus.

50gms protein, 2gms carbs
Lunch- 6oz grilled chicken; 1c steamed buttered broccoli, 2c green tea.
45gms protein, 7gms carbs.
Supper- Baked orange-roughy fillet; 1/2c wax beans; 1/2 med peach(1-3/4ozs, Splenda sweetened), 2c green tea.
42gms protein, 9gms carbs.
