Our ultimate freedom is the right and power to decide how anybody or anything outside ourselves will affect us.
Stephen R. Covey
He makes it sound so easy! How often do we let people and situations determine what we eat? Who has to live with the results?
Monday morning greetings! :) Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be corned beef. Dinner will be a salad and whatever I bring home from the market.

I got up late on Sunday was busy all day and didn't get a chance to post. So I'm doing a double whammy! An account of yesterday and a post for today.
Sunday 1/17/10
I got up late on Sunday and started the day out with a good stretch. Things got busy after that.
DS dropped in unexpectedly. We had a good visit. He wanted me to check out his latest venture. He purchased a new Martin acoustic guitar and wanted me to check it out as well as give him some tips on learning to play fingerstyle. I spent the biggest part of the afternoon instructing him on the basics of fingerstyle guitar playing. His last words to me as he was getting ready to leave, "This sure isn't going to be easy!"
Shortly after my DS left Mom and Dad stopped and spent the last of the afternoon and early evening. After mom and dad left Doy and I went to our DD for a visit. Spent a couple hours playing Wii with the granddaughters.
Yep a pretty busy day.
My meals for Sunday:
Breakfast- Mushroom/Swiss omelet(2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites, 1oz swiss cheese, 1/4c sauted mushrooms), 3/4c strawberries, 2 Esskay turkey bacon, 2c green tea.

Good Morning all!
Carol, thanks for the thought to ponder. I do let situations determine what I eat. Parties or restaurant meals are often troublesome.
Bill, your menus look so good...
I did well with food this weekend, probably because we stayed home and ate rather than going out. I'm also finding that having a shake for lunch really helps keep the calories under control. In the past I used to feel a little guilty about that, thinking that a shake didn't qualify as "real food" but after reading the 6wCure I've decided if it works it's OK.
Saturday's totals: 1561 cal, 23 net carb.
Sunday's totals: 1637 cal, 36 net carb.
Today's plan:
B'fast: coffee, creamer, 1 pork sausage, 2 slices bacon, 2 poached eggs, small tomato (1.5 oz)
Lunch: shake
Snack: Greek style yogurt, berries
Dinner: Pork loin roast, steamed veggies, coleslaw.
Paying bills and doing paperwork this morning, a dental appointment this afternoon. Should be a busy day.
Enjoy the holiday today.

Sounds like everybody's up and at'em this morning. I started off with a protein shake. I'll make a pizza on LC wrap for lunch and then have Mexican lasagna for supper.
Saturday wasn't a great day--I ate a little of this and that at the birthday party, so I know it added up too quickly. Thus, the scales were up a bit yesterday but back to normal today. I kept the quantities down, but the choices could have been better. Yesterday was fine.
This will, I hope, be my last week before being released to go back to school, so I have a few things on my agenda to clean up before my life gets crazy again. I need to go to the grocery store and to Fashion Bug today.
Have a great day!

Hi, folks! Glad to see you all. I've been working like a house on fire and have knocked some oldies off my to-do list. Staff meeting coming in ten minutes that I would love to miss, but I always learn something.
See you later!

I'm back! I had a shake when I got home tonight because I was too tired to do anything else. I made the guys corned beef and vegetables, so I nibbled a carrot and a couple of slices of beef when I served them.

Had a pretty good day, even if I didn't get much done. Still haven't made any studio time...:o Got the oil changed in my car, found out the further repairs required will cost another $300
Worked out with my sister then came home and roasted some chicken thighs for dinner and a roast beef for leftovers to keep handy.
Today: protein 117g, ecc 23g
Tomorrow is a b-day dinner for my nephew at my Mom's but it shouldn't be a problem, she's doing a roast beef (fortunately I like beef enough to eat it almost daily ) and I'm bringing roasted veg. I don't like ice cream cakes so saying no to that is easy. :)
