I thought I'd drop some links here about the structure of research papers, how to read them and some basic statistics.

Terrific sources Lisa, thanks! I remember the last one as I used to have that on our message board in the lab:nod:

These are great links that will be useful for those that take on the June Challenge!

Here is a little more technical discourse on statistics - more of a how-to rather than 'what it means'

Ok, that's great to know, though that's not exactly what I'd like to know.

So far I've been unable to find a bibliography or list of research papers for the various comments made, for example, in the movie 'Fathead'.

It's not that I disagree, it's that I need the ammunition to argue with Vegans.

Does anyone know where to find the citations without having to trudge through PubMed?

Welcome :)

I know the guy who made 'Fathead" has his own site, and if he doesn't have a bibliography you could ask for references.

We used to have an online bibliography for PPLP (a great read and full of ammunition on its own) - but now it appears you have to email (http://www.intergate.com/%7Eberts8nford7/PPLP_Biblio_with_PubMed_IDs.txt) our long lost friend Larry.

'We' do have some papers here (http://drseades.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68).

Finally, if you are arguing with vegans, the Beyond Veg (http://www.beyondveg.com/) site has a wealth of information (and references) and is low carb leaning from a paleo perspective (as is PP!)
