3 mile walk in 53 minutes... I was happy with that, especially due to the NINETY degree PLUS heat! That means my per minute rate is 17.66666 minutes. Just 2.6666 minutes to knock off each mile, LOL! YAY, me! :D

Anyone else?

Sherry

ps... since there were just two of us dedicated to posting, I'm not sure about a whole thread for the "wanna go for a walk?" posts... I'm keeping track of mine, in six week increments, but plan to post in the dailies, and then do a "six week results" thread. Thoughts, anyone? :)

Well, being the statistically anal person I am, I keep track of it in a book, anyway, PLUS, I type it up, AND I usually put it in Spark People.

Then, I've often ALSO put it here.

So, as long as you give me the dates, I can do a culumative synopsis. I also end up posting in the M&S as well, so I think there's a bit of redundancy on my part.

Sherry - I am not reporting this second time around. I think you all know I'm doing it in addition to my exercise, so ;).... I will admit I'm sad at all the more participating - maybe if you posted weekly totals it might inspire someone else to get up and moving. Where has everyone gotten to - Miralin, Gitfiddle, Stevie definitely come to mind as being absent lately.... And definitely a "yeah you" for that time in the heat :D!

The past couple of weeks have been crazy - I was out of town over the weekends and then the workweeks have been quite stressful too. I've still been going to Curves, just haven't gotten it posted. I haven't gotten any walks of much length or time in, though got in a few "one lap" walks at work to get away from my desk for a bit.

Food-wise I had a little trouble last week. The past three weeks of not getting to cook and getting by the best I could caught up last week and it turned into a hard food week to get through - I mostly did okay and food choices were 'workable', but I was eating too much and not really enjoying what I had. I much prefer it when I can cook! Tonight, for some reason, I just wanted bad stuff, and had some (fried shrimp, fried chicken, cheese-its and earlier in the day, Starbuck's ice cream). I really, really hope this is past now and tomorrow will be back on track and in control. Food is cooked for at least the first half of the week, maybe longer.

I have a relocation coming up in a few weeks (up to a couple of months). Date not tied down yet, but it's a good thing, I get to go back home to West Texas where my family is. It's a relocation for work too - and I'm looking forward to the new challenges (a transfer). My current boss retires in a few months and this opportunity to go home came up. Once he moves to his new retirement home (that is being built and is in the final stages of completion now), then I'll get to make my move. He'll then work mostly from the new home office and I'll help him from afar out in West Texas. I'm really, really looking forward to going home. Things are crazy here just with regular work stuff, but closing out things so we both can go has added to the stresses, and of course, the relocations themselves.

Anyway, I haven't been here as much but I am still trying and the physical DOES help with the stresses!!
