View Full Version : Daily Menu: Friday 23rd June

What are you eating today? And, for those who struggle to stay on plan at the weekends, are you planning ahead for this one?

Here's my menu for today (I'll edit if it changes):
B - small piece of toasted desem bread with liver pate; bowl of strawberries and yogurt topped with flaked almonds; small cappuccino.

L - asparagus with leftover roast chicken; half an apple; small cappuccino.
edit - I actually chopped the apple up, added a chopped up stick of celery and mixed it with the meat and asparagus and some creme fraiche and walnuts to make a sort of Waldorf salad-type concoction.

D - sausages with courgettes and onion; green salad; glass of wine.

B= Protein bar (running late as usual) strawberries

L= BLT SALAD (Green salad w/ bacon, tomatoes & a little mayo on the side)

Snack= Celery sticks & cream cheese

D= Spicy chicken wings (that I make myself) and broccoli & red pepper salad

Being a moderator, it would be motivating for us newbies to know your start weight, and your ending weight. Unless it's posted somewhere else? People on this forum are awefully tight lipped in their profiles. sheesh.

May I ask what a "courgette" is?

My start weight was about 10 st 5 lb (145), and my current weight is about 8 st (112). I'm 5' 2". I didn't particularly want it in my sig, because it's not really my current focus, but you're right, putting it in my profile would work. Thanks for the suggestion.

A courgette is English for a zucchini. You have to be multi-lingual on this board ;).

My start weight was over 178. I didn't own a scale, and started LC in September, but wasn't weighed by the doctor until I had to go see him in December, so I have no idea what the start weight was.

My lowest has been 140, but I seem to be hovering about 148 to 150 at present, possibly due to more serious exercising, because I am still fitting in the same clothing (except for a couple pair of pants which got too tight in the quads - I tend to build large leg muscles when I exercise).

My menu today is not what I would prefer, because we ran this morning. I was counting on a good breakfast afterwards, but ran out of time, as my hubby had to dump me at work so he could get back to his place of employ. They would have fed us after the run, but I couldn't stay.

So, before the run I had Atkins protein shake powder in water, and after I had a sugar-free replenishment drink mix, and a stupid Atkins protein bar (they are not great, but I needed something, eventually)

Around 1000, we had a special reception in the office, and I had some sliced mixed fruit (strawberries, kiwi, melon) and some coffee. My stomach is doing wierd things now (it's 2:00).

Had the hamburger patty that I brought with my lunch, but not the salad. My body is just all off schedule. Hope that doesn't mean the rest of the day and into the weekend will be an uproar, too, especially with my hubby not home for supper this evening, and me alone and not caring what I eat. I will have to make an effort to care and choose wisely.

Today, so far:

#1 - Slim-Fast LC RTD chocolate shake, 2 oz. chicken breast, 2 large cups of tea
#2 - snack of 2 oz salmon
#3 - lunch of 4oz salmon, 2 c salad of romaine, mushrooms, red cabbage, celery, 1T ranch and 1T Italian Vinagrette dressing, 1/2c yellow squash, 1/4c carrots, 4 snap peas (the long bean pod thingy, in case I called it wrong!), large tea

Will switch from tea to water, I'm behind on it for today.
