Since Carol is gone I thought I'd start the thread for today, nothing witty or thought provoking though, just a place to log my plans for the day.
![]() 3 shakes as always, 1 will be a diet cheerwine/vanilla rather than standard (for me) chocolate. Tried that last night and it wasn't too bad. Good for a change of pace. Lunch is packed, leftover steak mixed with romaine and dressing. Cheese and baby carrots on the side. As always my 64 ounce jug of water goes to work with me. Hope everyone has a great Friday. Thanks for starting things Becca.
Today is a busy day with most of the Zone off sick. I had a protein rich breakfast and am starting up regular vitamins again along with loads of D. Played just over 2 hours of Dodgeball last night with the pickup crew. Viewing the results this morning I realized just how bad this extra 60 pounds look and I'll just push harder. Lots of tasks at work to complete today, dinner with my SIL and viewing Dead Snow at my son's place with some extended family. It is one of the funniest, scariest movies in a long time. On target and hopefully down another pound or two.
KAROLE ahhh the toils of retirement
I know what you mean- where does all the time go when you really don't have to do anything. ![]() Today started out on a slight negative- my portions at breakfast (with the other 3 "retirees" that make up our Fri group) was totally piggish. Not so bad with carbs (11) but quantity was over the top esp after being on PP for 8 weeks. I feel like I'm going to burst. A 3 mile walk is in order- this was going to be a rest up day. Oh well at least the sun is shining and the Ocean is beautiful. Gotta goMonty |

Friday 11/6/09
Football Friday, I haven't misssed a high school football game in 35 years. It helps when you have such a great team. Tonight is the final regular season game and by far the toughest of the season. Did my exercise routine this morning, day three and its going great. I'm going to start including protein shakes for some of my meals. I just received my first order of Isopure zero carb protein powder in Dutch Chocolate flavor. I'm anxious to try it and may try it for lunch. Breakfast- 1/2c cottage cheese, 7 breakfast sausage links, 47gms strawberries. 2c green tea. 40gms protein, 9gms carbs Lunch- Salad, (2c roughly chopped romaine; 1/2 med avocado, cubed; 1/4c cubed cucumber; 1/8c chopped onion; 1 boiled egg, quartered lengthwise; 1 slice crumbled bacon; 5ozs shredded chicken breast; 2T bleu cheese dressing. 2c green tea. 43gms protein, 9gms carbs Supper- 6oz grilled sirloin pork chop, 10 grilled asparagus spears, 1/2 med grilled peach, 2c green tea. 42gms protein, 8gms carbs. |

Instead of the fried cheese stick for dinner we did the "protein puppies" recipe without splenda. End result was interesting. Slight crunch but largely soft on the inside. Needed something extra for flavor. Not ready for prime time.

Busy day with an early start so no time to post the planned food this morning. B & L were the usual but dinner put me over the top a bit. Had a fabulous meal though
. Mussels, roast duck breast, veggies and a couple of glasses of red wine. Ended up around 50 ecc for the day, quite high for me but not bad I guess considering the wine and all.Tomorrow is another day though, and I can do better. Jilly |
